Designing Office Shelving in Essendon
The design process for fitted shelving & bookcases in Essendon starts by balancing practical needs with the room's proportions. Attention is given to shelf spans, file sizes, wall dimensions, desk relationship and closed storage needs. From there, the joinery can be developed with cleaner alignments, better storage logic and a more consistent material language.
Material selection and detailing are developed after the proportions are established. Because Essendon includes country-style homes, character spaces and bespoke residential projects, the final scheme can be quieter, more architectural or more expressive depending on the property. The goal remains purposeful shelving that keeps a workspace organised without feeling overly commercial, with storage and appearance treated as part of the same design problem.
